| The Argo bounce continues to work in full effect, as the Argos get set to face off against a possibly Kevin Glenn-less Winnipeg Blue Bomber squad. That may be the best news they've had in what was a tough week for the Boatmen. All congratulatory after whipping the hapless Ti-Cats two games in a row, and declaring Michael Bishop the second coming, the Argos got a wake up call against the Lions, who fielded their 3rd string QB no less. The Argos defence is known around the league for its stinginess, but points were given out like it was Whose Line is it Anyway?, as both the offensive and defensive lines decided not to show up. The result was an underperforming defence making the overrated offensive talents look a little down to earth. Remember, three of Bishop's wins have come against the 1-10 Ti-Cats. On the other side of the ball, a Glenn-less Winnipeg offense seems like a mismatch against the Argo defence. This game is initially looked at as the league's most explosive offense against this millenium's number one defence. However, to overlook the Bomber defence is like the New England Patriots overlooking the NFL's rules against cheating. It can prove to be a costly mistake. Just last year, the Bombers were stealing the top ranks of the CFL defensive categories from the Argos. This year, that same defence is getting overshadowed by a more efficient offense. If Bishop has the same amount of difficulty as he had against BC's ball hawks, then we might be in for a tight match up. When MOP of 2004 Casey Printers is sacked six times, an equally mobile Bishop should worry about getting happy feet in the pocket. This will be a game of field position and limiting mistakes. One or two big plays could make the difference. Whether it be Dorsey on special teams, or an Argo receiver (where are you Bruce and Miles???) actually getting underneath Bishop's cannon of an arm, or simply Prefontaine's punting giving the Argos a short field, this Sunday's game should be a chess match. May the best team win.
