| Well, it looks like the Argos are catching a break, even though they've lost the Casey Printers race. With the schedule makers pitting the Argos in a home and home with the TiCats, right when Michael Bishop returns, Jesse Lumsden goes down, and Casey Printers becomes available, with the last playoff spot in the East up for grabs, you've got to love the Argo bounce. Sure, Printers would have been a nice addition, with an ego big enough to fill the upper deck of the Rogers Centre, but the Boatmen have their own fine young QB returning to the fold. Bishop has shown that he has what it takes to win, and can certainly guide this team to the Grey Cup. It'd be nice to see how he matches up against some Western teams, as the back to back matchups with Edmonton will have the same playoff implications as these recent tilts against the Tabbies. If, as it seems will happen, the Argos sweep this home and home, they can pretty much put Hamilton to rest, Printers or no Printers. That means the only playoff threat will be a Western crossover. With Edmonton threatening to start their own non-playoff streak (two years running), two wins against them should sew up a playoff spot. SO, the Argos can pretty much control their destiny in three games. Yet where the bounce really goes in the Argos' favour, is with the possibly Printers led Ti-Cat match ups. Escaping a hungry and high paid QB on a 1-8 team, the Argos get to watch their division rivals Winnipeg play Printers twice, Montreal once, and then Edmonton on the final week of the season. If there's any team that will immediately benefit from the return of Casey, without even paying him a dime (natch), it's the Argos. Not only will Printers miss the Argos this season, he may very well set them up for a first place run. Which is an amazing turn of events considering where the Argos were a week ago. Here's to hosting a Grey Cup party. Book Printers a Press Box.
