| WOW! What a wild west showdown last weekend! i've heard about "Shoot the lights out" offense, but never seen it so literal! There's some real magic out west, which is why they always say, the West is the Best. The East really has a tough act to follow, but i expect some close matches like last week, just not as high scoring. Winnipeg has got to be pretty thankful that Ottawa folded, as their shift to the East has them sitting in first place. Toronto won't be an easy win for them, but having taken on BC's second string QB and coming out with the W, should mean a victory for the Blue Bombers, seeing as Toronto is utilizing QB 1-E. Pinball has been quoted as saying Bishop may dress for Labour Day, while Bishop wants to start this week. For once, Pinball's right about Bishop. With Hamilton languishing in the basement, and Winnipeg and Montreal dueling for first, it's more important now to have Bishop fully heal. A win or loss against Winnipeg now, isn't as important as the consequences of the home and home against Hamilton. By letting Bishop rest, his presence in the Ti-Cat matchups should allow them to sweep, or at least earn a split (even 1-17 Hamilton clubs play the Argos hard on Labour Day). Coach Clemons has been in this 8 or 9 team league long enough to know that a playoff birth is all you need to win the Grey Cup. So beating Winnipeg with a beat up Bishop is not as pertinent as burying the Ti-Cats in a few weeks. If the Argos accomplish that, then they only need to worry about the crossover potential of a Western fourth place team, which may be more of a concern than they'd like to believe. Predictions for this week: Bombers and Ti-Cats coming out on top.
